TCF and TEF Exam Center
We are a TCF and TEF exam center. These exams allow students to have an officially recognized evaluation of their levels (required for entering the French university system, for example). Special reduced prices are offered to the school’s students.
Our teaching style is communicative and based on students’ active participation (work in small groups, role-playing, etc.). Our professors use recent FLE manuals but also numerous authentic documents like newspaper and magazine articles as well as audio documents like French songs, recorded conversations, films, documentaries, etc. Class materials are custom created by the teachers themselves. Students do not have to buy any books while studying at our school.
Each day, students have homework to do which is then corrected by the teacher and returned to the student the next day. This exercise allows students to develop written linguistic competencies. It includes varied exercises (grammar, conjugation, writing, editing, etc.). At the end of their studies, students will have a balanced written and oral level. There is an estimated 5 hours of homework per week which includes time spent studying and memorizing of the day's classwork and time spent on the homework assignment given by the professor. This time is essential to the student's progress and is an integral part of the learning process.
Workshops are part of the intensive classe program. The goal of these workshops is to reinforce what has been learned and to practice French in a relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on oral production.
A variety of materials, such as videos and music, are used; current cultural topics are discussed, there are tastings of regional French culinary products and cultural visits in Paris take place.
